Job Description

  • Must be AAT Qualified or equivalent with 5 years experience
  • Purchase Ledger Assistant / Senior Purchase Ledger Role

Typical Activities

  • Review incoming purchase invoices against orders made
  • Allocate costs to correct contract / valuation sheet
  • Enter purchase invoices onto accounts software (Xero)
  • Contact suppliers for credit notes / invoice queries
  • Reconcile statements to purchase ledger
  • Preparation of month end supplier payments
  • Enter information into our stock system (Google Sheets)
  • Generate stock journals from the weekly stock sheets
  • Import stock journals into accounts software (Xero)
  • Extracting information from internal systems, producing summaries & assisting with financial reporting
  • Answer incoming calls to the accounts team
  • Other administration tasks which may arise (scanning, filing, etc)

Skills & Interests

  • Must be friendly, outgoing and calm
  • Must have an exceptional and confident telephone manner and attitude towards customers and clients
  • Must have a positive and relaxed nature
  • Must be competent in using accounts software (preferably prior experience with Xero)
  • Must be willing to contribute to improvements in processes and efficiencies
