Purchase Ledger Clerk
Salary: £18,000.00-£22,000.00 per year

Job Description
- Must be AAT Qualified or equivalent with 5 years experience
- Purchase Ledger Assistant / Senior Purchase Ledger Role
Typical Activities
- Review incoming purchase invoices against orders made
- Allocate costs to correct contract / valuation sheet
- Enter purchase invoices onto accounts software (Xero)
- Contact suppliers for credit notes / invoice queries
- Reconcile statements to purchase ledger
- Preparation of month end supplier payments
- Enter information into our stock system (Google Sheets)
- Generate stock journals from the weekly stock sheets
- Import stock journals into accounts software (Xero)
- Extracting information from internal systems, producing summaries & assisting with financial reporting
- Answer incoming calls to the accounts team
- Other administration tasks which may arise (scanning, filing, etc)
Skills & Interests
- Must be friendly, outgoing and calm
- Must have an exceptional and confident telephone manner and attitude towards customers and clients
- Must have a positive and relaxed nature
- Must be competent in using accounts software (preferably prior experience with Xero)
- Must be willing to contribute to improvements in processes and efficiencies
