Phoenix New Build was appointed by Crest Nicholson Developments to deliver full heating and plumbing services for the prestigious Westwood Park Phase 2 development in Warwickshire. Located near Kenilworth and Coventry, the large-scale residential scheme comprises 226 homes, ranging from 1- and 2-bedroom starter properties to spacious 5-bedroom family homes. The primary goal was to provide high-quality, energy-efficient mechanical installations across all plots, ensuring compliance with modern building regulations while maintaining seamless integration with Crest Nicholson’s demanding build schedule.
The Challenges
The scale of the project and tight delivery window presented significant logistical and scheduling challenges. With multiple house types and simultaneous build stages, Phoenix needed to coordinate efficiently with multiple trades while maintaining quality consistency across all installations. To meet these demands, Phoenix implemented a structured delivery approach, aligning resources and workflows with Crest Nicholson’s build programme. Strong communication between site teams and the main contractor ensured that potential bottlenecks were identified early and resolved proactively, keeping works on track and within agreed timelines.
The Outcome
Phoenix New Build commenced on-site works in January 2025, successfully providing: Full first- and second-fix heating and plumbing installations across all property types. Complete rainwater and drainage systems for the entire development. Continuous collaboration with Crest Nicholson’s management team to ensure timely progress and quality assurance. Through consistent performance, proactive problem solving, and a commitment to high standards, Phoenix New Build quickly became a trusted delivery partner on the scheme. Their work was recognised by Crest Nicholson, awarding Phoenix “Subcontractor of the Month” in June 2025 – a testament to the team’s professionalism, quality, and reliability. The project remains on course for successful completion, demonstrating Phoenix’s ability to deliver large-scale residential developments to the highest standard.
