We’re making a significant investment of £500,000 in technology and training to modernise our business operations and improve the quality of service, especially for our social housing contracts.
This project aims to help us work smarter, deliver faster, and prepare for a greener, more customer-focused future.
Phase One: Propeller Works Management System
Central to this upgrade is Propeller, our new works management system. Following a successful commercial pilot, we are preparing to roll out Propeller across the entire business by the end of September, just ahead of the busy winter season.
Propeller will automate repairs and parts ordering while providing a single platform to manage workloads efficiently. This will enable our teams to offer a quicker, more reliable service and reduce administrative burdens.
Phase Two: Enhanced Customer Communication
The second phase focuses on upgrading how we communicate with customers. We are introducing automated phone systems with multi-language support to provide a more inclusive and accessible service.
Additionally, managers will gain real-time insights into performance, supporting continuous improvement in responsiveness and customer satisfaction.
Renewables Training Centre: Preparing for a Greener Future
Alongside technology improvements, we are investing in our people. Plans are underway to open a new Renewables Training Centre in Oldbury, which will focus on upskilling our heating engineers.
With a dedicated trainer specialising in heat pump installation and maintenance, this centre will support our commitment to energy-efficient, low-carbon heating solutions and contribute to achieving net zero.
Leadership Driving the Transformation
This programme is led by Yvonne Keay, whose strategic oversight is guiding the project to deliver maximum value. Supporting Yvonne, Alex Homer has been seconded to manage the technology rollout and ensure smooth implementation.
Looking Ahead
These initiatives represent a major step toward transforming our operations and customer service. We remain focused on innovation and continuous improvement as we build a smarter, greener, and more customer-centric business.
